This article will quickly share some ninja ways to lock down top positions on Google. Everyone who decides to take a try at SEO covets the top 3 position on the first page. It can be tricky if you're not sure how to go about this, here are a few pointers to keep in mind!
Let me start by saying it is way more cost effective to rank pages that exact domain names. Imagine finding 5 great keywords with low competition and you know it will shoot straight up the search results if you get it.
So every time you find these nuggets you pay out 10 bucks a pop for each domain name, it adds up exponentially. It is better to just but a general keyword for the niche and rank pages along with it. Google sees this as more natural as well.
There are tons of keyword research tools out there but I personally believe this is a royal waste of money. Why would anyone buy one of these tools when Google has already provided a free keyword tool that gives data on its own search engine?
People buy this software stuff that go to Google for the same information that Google provides for free. It is a better idea to use Google's free keyword tool because it is more accurate. Also, I know people get these tools to monitor the completion and see how challenging it would be to rank a term so let me share some pointers about competition.
The main thing to keep in mind is only the first page matters. Also the amount of backlinks to the whole site does not matter; as a matter of fact it's almost irrelevant. The important thing to note is the amount of backlinks going to the actual page.
Now the tricky part is that if a page has 25 backlinks pointing to it, this doesn't mean you just need 26 to take its spot. Each backlink has a different weight to it and a lot of time the amount of backlinks to a specific page is not showing accurate results, so it could really be more or a bit less.
Besides that, you can easily beat a 25 link domain page or post by getting a few .edu or .gove links pointing back to your post. I don't mean 5 or even 3, one or two of these can catapult your site to the top of all search engines, Google may be the first to take note of these quality links you have.
If you hang on long enough and make up your mind that this will work for you then eventually everything will start falling into place, so persevere!
